And now for something completely different, yes.
I feel that I have become an expert at catching the last train home during the week after doing a little dance on the platform for three to 800 minutes (sometimes the last train is really late). And I’m a little melancholy, especially alone on that last train, so I’ve decided to compile a little playlist. Because, sometimes, I think I’m dating the Metro. We spend that much time together.
(In no particular order, with many shuffling options in case it becomes a really long trip home:)
Mushaboom- Feist (Postal Service remix)
Grapevine Fires- Death Cab for Cutie
Trouble Sleeping- Corinne Bailey Rae
Nicest Thing- Kate Nash
Oh Mandy- The Spinto Band
Shake It- Metro Station
One Time Too Many- Phoenix
Lollipop- Lil Wayne
Use Somebody- Kings of Leon
The Mast- Feist
Sexual Healing/High and Dry (best mashup ever)
Transatlanticism- Death Cab for Cutie
For What It’s Worth- The Cardigans
You may already be aware that my taste in music is questionable at best, but it is worth noting that Lollipop is on there for those nights when you find yourself doing the happy dance on the platform. Sometimes you just have to break it down. And when you find yourself doing that little dance, it’s one of the best feelings in the world.
